All of my garments, fashion related pieces, and even my costumes are all inspired by the people
around me, images I see, and places I’ve been. After my grandmother taught me how to sew I’ve
been paying close attention to my construction and craftsmanship; the two most important
aspects of my art.

My work thus far has used a variety of materials. From industrial equipment like plastics, foams,
pipes, wiring, and molding; to materials used for textiles like thread, fabrics, knits, and
interfacing. For every costume I spend weeks sanding and preparing my surfaces in order to get
the best results in craftsmanship. I use a variety of paints and brushes for a unique look that
unifies my entire costume.

My art is all about taking something 2D that doesn’t necessarily follow the laws of physics, and
making gravity defying garments and costumes that are wearable and usable in the real world.
Just seeing a costume come to life keeps me inspired to create more. Creating a costume also
helps further the development of the character by showing you who they are on the outside, and
that is the most gratifying experience.
